Extreme Short Film Competition 20-10
The Tel-Aviv 13th International Student Film Festival is
honored to invite worldwide students to take part in the "20-10" Competition. This competition calls to present 20 seconds
films - packed and challenging cinematic format. The theme and the object that
the films will deal with is a bench - as a space that creates state of mind or
as an incident set.
This new event aims to offer alternative for the standard
and conventional cinematic time, and to open a poetic option inspired by the
Haiku Japanese poetry. The Haiku captures a moment, state of mind, feeling.
The soviet director Sergei Eisenstein marked the Haiku
poetry as inspiration for his cinematic theory, due to the fact that in this
kind of poetry the reader has to create by himself the meaning of the song out
of the combination of short phrases.
Films will be accepted in every category: fiction,
documentary, experimental and animation.
Film length will be exactly 20 seconds, including the
opening title. The ending titles will be calculated as a different part.
10 films will be selected and will enter the competition
from among the received films. These films will be projected during the
festival. A pecuniary reward will be given to the winner.
The films should be sent till the March 1st, 2010.
The chosen films will be sent by the directors in a high
quality copy.
Тема, как вы поняли, - Скамейка. Время 20 секунд. Качество пересылки - высокое.
Категория фильма - любая. Хоть игровой, документальный,
анимация... Если стих сочинить, то - прекрасно. Лучше взять готовый, но
- на английском или японском.
Про качество - в письме написано прислать копию высокого
качества. То есть без сильной компрессии. 1 минута DV это 200 мб. Значит 20 сек - 70 мб. Это для пересылки тоже много.
Формат AVI или MOV 16:9 но об этом не сказано.
Срок - за неделю до 1 марта.
